I finally have this sourdough bread crumb carrot cake from Wild Yeast in the oven. the batter was so great, I expect nothing less from the finished product… an hour in the oven, then some cooling time before I’ll know for sure.
using bread crumbs in carrot cake. making this just after I get another pineapple. the Vita-Mix makes amazing bread crumb powder, and I have quite a stock of them.
I’m starting this today. I read the Jeffrey Hamelman book, and tried (unsuccessfully) to adapt this recipe myself. I have to get back in the sourdough swing - all my breads seem to have problems lately. Weather maybe? Still, frustrating!
